SmoothLase® safely uses the energy of laser to stimulate the deep structural support layers of the skin—including those typically addressed in a surgical facelift—without disturbing the surface of the skin, all done from inside the mouth. The effect of focused laser energy on the growth of new collagen over time leads to natural, noticeable results.

With SmoothLase®, there’s no downtime, no foreign substances, no radical change; just a healthy revving-up on the inside for a natural, noticeable effect on the outside and you can go about your day after each 30 minute in-office procedure. You may notice a short-term “boost” but the natural process of creating new, more elastic, collagen builds over time.

Results unfold over the course of 2-3 months and some patients have reported continued improvement for up to 6 months, including lifting and tightening of the skin around the mouth, chin, along the jawline, and under the eyes. While SmoothLase® does not duplicate the results of surgery, SmoothLase® has proven to be an excellent alternative.

Unlike dermatological lasers, which penetrate the skin from the outside-in, SmoothLase® works from inside the mouth, specifically targeting the deep, structural skin tissues where collagen lives. Using fractional (broken-up into a grid pattern to control the heat generated) laser technology, SmoothLase® works from the inside-out to lift and tighten skin non-invasively. Your body’s response to this energy is to recondition tired skin by stimulating the growth of fresh, new collagen. The result is a tightening and gradual lifting—or shifting—of the skin back into a more youthful position and form-fitting shape.

A SmoothLase® procedure typically takes 3-5 30 minute procedures, each 3 weeks apart. There are no special after-care requirements and you can resume your normal activities immediately.

Comfort levels vary from patient to patient and can depend on the area treated.

You are able to return to your normal activities right away, and there are no special measures you need to take. It is not uncommon to experience slight swelling for a few days, or tingling/tenderness to the touch following the procedure, but these are mild and temporary in nature.

The laser treatment warms the targeted tissues in a grid pattern causing:

1. Conversion of irregular, broken down from aging and life, collagen to its regular more youthful form of years past. This is called remodeling.

2. Activating fibroblast cells to make brand new collagen in your face and lips.

Loss of collagen is the main cause of skin aging, wrinkles, scarring, uneven skintone, dry skin, and poor skin texture. When healthy collagen is present in sufficient amount, your skin has nutritional support and retains its plumpness, elasticity, and tightness.

SmoothLase® is not suitable if you are after the ‘overdone’ look of Hollywood. It is also not for those wanting the instantaneous results of injectable dermal fillers. SmoothLase® is a natural, longer-lasting de-aging process for your face, returning it to an earlier period of your life. It works the opposite of dermal fillers, like Juvederm, Restylane, etc., and Botox/Dysport/Xeomin. With those injectables, the healthier you are the faster their effect wears off (part of your natural healing process).
