• Patients will be triaged as they present their complaint either over the phone or via video calling.
  • If the problem cannot be solved with self-help (https://www.nhsggc.org.uk/media/259718/self-help-final-ver-2.pdf), and if you are not willing to receive treatment via 111 NHS services, we will offer you an appointment for the treatment needed.
  • To secure the appointment, payment will be needed to be made through a link provided via SMS or email, at least 3 working days before the appointment. This is to minimise face to face contact and the time you spend in the practice and cash transfer as per guidelines available.
  • A medical history form and a questionnaire about Covid-19 will be needed to be filled or updated 3 workdays before you attend the appointment.
  • The questionnaire will be requested to be filled again 1 day before the appointment.
  • If you develop any Covid-19 symptoms on the day of the appointment, a refund will not be possible unless your slot can be filled for another patient’s treatment.
  • Please attend to the practice alone if possible. Only one person can accompany a patient who needs escort/care.
  • Toilets may not be available, so please be prepared for this. Guidelines recommend you take a shower before attending your appointment and bring as few items as possible – only essentials.
  • We ask you not to come in early but to be on time and stay outside if possible.
  • You will be sent a link to self- check-in not more than 30 minutes before the appointment. After you check-in, we will call you to come into the building.
  • As you come in, we might check your temperature and we will ask you to use the hand sanitizer.
  • You are recommended to wear a face covering. We will have face masks available if you require one.
  • Entering the practice, you will be welcomed by our nurse in full PPE (so will look a bit different than what you might be used to see on arrival 🙂 ) and we will ask you to leave your coat and any other items you have, at a designated area, which will be sanitized for each patient.
  • We will ask you not to touch anything and direct you to the treatment room.
  • If there is any amendment needed regarding payment this will be discussed during the appointment. Refund will be made ASAP on the day or a new link will be sent for further payments to be made where necessary.
  • Please sanitize your hands again as you exit after the treatment.

Again, even though all these may sound a bit different, please remember that dentistry has always been protecting you from cross infection with all kinds of bacteria and viruses and it is still us smiling under all the PPE 🙂
